Singaporean blogger, Wendy Cheng, or better known as 'Xiaxue', is notoriously known for her brutally honest remarks and often times finding herself in boiling situation.

The fued started with Xiaxue being on the same flight with Monsta X (a Korean pop boy band) and realized fans were wailing and screaming at the airport - but she had no clue who they were.

The renowned blogger caused a stir when she tweeted, "I didn't know who Monsta X is but when I google imaged them, I genuinely thought they were a group of trannies."

The saga continues when Xiaxue drops a series of bombs (in the form of tweets) further dissing Monsta X, BTS and EXO.

The distasteful tweets by Xiaxue has triggered responses from furious K-Pop fandoms around the world, until the extent of death threats involving the blogger itself and her family members.

With all the nasty comments made revolving between Xiaxue and the K-Pop fandom, the Singaporean blogger has definitely gained worldwide attention when she proudly announced to be the latest ambassador of Lexi Lyla, Singapore's local apparel brand founded by model slash blogger Dawn Yang.

Oh, and another additional 3000 followers on her Twitter too.

What do you think about the ongoing fiasco? Will the drama continue to leverage Xiaxue to a larger stardom or drain her from the hectic blogosphere?

Spending four days in Bangkok is frankly insufficient for me, as the little explorer inside of me loves wandering around and getting surprised by the littlest things in life. But at the same time, don't we all want to get the best out of our holidays and enjoy the moment like never before?

Here's a short yet compact list of the must-dos in Bangkok - especially for newbies who'd like to make the most out of your itinerary!

1. SHOPPING

I am not going to lie, I did went slightly overboard when I was in Bangkok. Also known as the shopping heaven for ladies, the streets and markets are filled with local vendors displaying an array of clothes, accessories, footwear and so much more! And best of all, the prices are so affordable, I just had to get them T____T

TIP: To get the extra worth of each and every baht you're going to spend, try shopping in markets rather than wholesale malls.

Some of the safest places I would recommend to shop away is either the Pratunam Morning Market, Ratchada Train Night Market and Chatuchak Weekend Market. I'd totally avoid wholesale malls because of the price gap between wholesale malls and markets. During my first visit to Platinum Fashion Mall, I spent THB900 (about RM115) for one dress, culottes and a A-line skirt.

Some of you must be thinking, "Where got expensive? Cheaper than Malaysia ma!"

The next morning I head to Pratunam Morning Market and got three tops and three dresses for THB700 (about RM90). The entire morning in Pratunam itself, I bagged 16 pieces of clothing for a total of THB2500 (about RM320). Go ahead and do a simple calculation to see which is cheaper than the other :)

2. EAT LOCAL FOOD

Tom Yam Goong, Boat Noodles, Pad Thai, Som Tam - you name it, they have it! It is a must to experience the local authentic flavour of Thailand no matter how short or long your trip is going to be. I'll be doing some reviews on the F&Bs I have been to during my Bangkok trip, can't wait to share them with you guys!

TIP: Nothing shouts local from the streets itself! ;)

3. CAFE-HOPPING

Besides being a home to rich cultures and attractions, that one thing I did not regret doing was cafe-hopping. Bangkok itself houses multiple themed cafes throughout the city, but I would strongly recommend visitors to do thorough research before opting for any of the cafes you see online. Also, as Bangkok is an extremely hectic city, (I was stuck in a 6-kilometer ride for 30 minutes lol) make sure you plan your itinerary wisely and allow ample space for mishaps (like traffic jam LOL) to take place.

Here's some of the beautiful themed cafes placed across Bangkok!

4. DRINKING

Yup, you read it right! The cocktails and beers in Bangkok are relatively cheaper compared to Kuala Lumpur and I absolutely enjoyed my nights there. If you're pretty much into cheap yet quality cocktails and a good live band, you can probably try some pubs and bars located in Ratchada Train Night Market, the ambience and drinks are quite chill for the price you pay.

Or if you'd like to have a memorable and luxurious experience, you can try the rooftop bars in Bangkok or indulge in a nightlife in the renowned districts such as Watthana, Silom and Thonglor.

5. SPA AND WELLNESS MASSAGES

Massage and spa parlours in Thailand are extremely affordable and available in almost every corner of the city. And since I was so exhausted from all the walking and shopping, I just couldn't see why I should not pamper myself with the readily available massages! :)

The average price of a foot massage is about THB200 (about RM25), and an aromatherapy oil massage costs about THB500 (about RM65) and above. However, I managed to stumbled upon a massage parlour in Chatuchak Weekend Market which charges THB170 (about RM22) for foot, head, shoulders and back body massage! SO DAMN REASONABLE OMG!

So today's post will be all about food - particularly, dessert!

Friends who know me well would probably know that I am a sucker for dessert, especially pretty ones. I am the type of person who don't mind driving to McDonald's in the middle of the night just for the sake of an ice-cream cone AHAHA.

So, last week, my family and I were back in our hometown in Penang for Lunar New Year. My sweet tooth was itching so bad, I actually needed my sugar fix. Hence, we decided to drop by Fourspoons Dessert Cafe in Icon City, Bukit Mertajam.

Matcha Soft Serve from Fourspoons Dessert Cafe.

Location wise, I would say it's pretty easy to find as Icon City is just located opposite Auto-City. However, Fourspoons is located pretty much in the middle of the hub so a little 'exploring' is needed.

Not to fret about parking as there are quite ample parking spots available. I'm not so sure about the parking availability at night as there are quite a couple of restaurants and cafes, so it might be hard to find parking when it comes to dinner time.

Practically, this is how Fourspoons' exterior look like. Since its located at the upper level, patrons can easily walk up or take the elevator.

I was there on a fine Wednesday noon, to be welcomed by a full-house attendance. But then again, it was Chinese New Year so that probably explains the overwhelming crowd. Or, I was expecting everyone to be 拜年-ing LOL. Anyway, we waited for about 20 minutes only to have a seating arrangement.

Our ordered list is as below:-
'Waffle with One Ice-Cream' (RM11.50),
'Choco Banana Pancake' (RM18.90),
'Hot Mocha' (RM9.90),
'Iced Passion Honey Lemon' (RM7.90),
'Wildberries Sparkling' (RM9.90).

Again, another waiting game for our food was served about 20 minutes later?

Waffle with one Ice-Cream.

Iced Passion Honey Lemon + Waffle with one Ice-Cream.

Hot Mocha.

That being said, service was nice and the crowd was huge so no complaints. However, food aesthetic wise, I wasn't expecting something so... plain? Hahaha. The food tasted average only, I would personally say that the price does not justify what I ate. Then again, its personal thoughts. For the price I paid, I could have easily gotten the Skyscraper Waffles and other delectable from Hail's Soft Serve @ Damansara Uptown.

Choco Banana Pancake. Am I the only person who thinks that the chocolate garnishing is made unprofessionally? lol.

In terms of ambience, it's definitely chilling and a great atmosphere for catch-up sessions and what not.

Summarised ratings are as below:-
Location: 4/5
Parking: 4/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Food: 3/5
Price: 2/5

Is the dessert memorable? Personally, not really.

Will I make a second visit? Probably not.

Looks like I'm about to hunt for new hot-spots when I'm back in Penang! Drop down some suggestions in the comment box below if you know any nice places to indulge. I appreciate honest feedbacks! :)

Hello loves! Hope you all had an amazing and lit Lunar New Year so far ;)

Today’s post will be featuring three Clinique products I have gotten from Sephora Digital – the Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask, Clinique All About Eyes Concealer and Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm.

But before going ahead, a huge shout out to the Sephora Digital team for the fast and reliable service! I placed my orders on 11 January (Wednesday) night and surprisingly, the parcel popped up at my office’s desk on 16 January (Monday)! That’s actually pretty fast considering that the parcel is delivered from Sephora Singapore.

FYI, I have a dry to combination sensitive skin hence I am very very careful when it comes to skincare and cosmetics. Most of the products I personally own are usually water-based, lightweight or contains minimal oil because any form of harsh or thick substances can trigger my skin conditions almost immediately. And that is why every time before I splurge, I have to do serious amount of research to ensure that I do not purchase something that would just suffocate my skin.

On hand: Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask.

I’m so thankful for the inventions of overnight sleeping masks hahaha. It’s like you can go to bed without worries while it works wonders for your skin! I’m really amazed with Clinique’s products as most of them are oil-free and fragrance-free.

This mask is so lightweight and non-greasy upon application. It absorbs easily into my skin – it feels as if I’m applying moisturizer or face creams. I’ve read a couple of reviews on this overnight mask in which a few users claims they face breakout or zits upon usage. However, my skin reacts perfectly fine with its formula, so I would recommend you guys to try it beforehand at your nearest Clinique or Sephora stores upon purchasing.

As its name suggests, the Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask is packed with hefty moisturizing properties hence I would say it is not really suitable for oily-skin type. This is a personal must-have if you’re constantly having a tight time for pampering sessions and what not.

Moisturized skin = healthy, radiant skin!

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask Ratings:
Availability: Clinique MY, Sephora MY
Size: 100ml
Price: RM145
Packaging: 4/5
Smell: 2/5
Meets Expectations: 3.5/5
Price: 3.5/5

On hand: Clinique All About Eyes Concealer.

There’s two shades for this concealer available in Sephora MY, which is the ‘Light Neutral’ and ‘Light Golden’. As my skin is quite fair, I decided to go with the shade ‘Light Neutral’. Upon the first application, the concealer was tad runny for my liking. It’s quite watery for a concealer, but a little goes a long way.

Coverage and shade wise is a thumbs-up. The buildable coverage allows me to choose how I’d like my skin to be and it is quite easy to blend even with using just fingers. As mentioned before, Clinique’s products are fragrance-free and so is the All About Eyes Concealer. Another crucial thing to highlight is that it DOES NOT crease. I lightly dabbed about two layers on my under-eyes and yet no signs of creasing!

Bear in mind to not over-use the concealer, too much application will lead to face makeup looking cakey! Here’s a close-up photo of Clinique’s All About Eyes Concealer on my skin. Left side has no under-eye concealer, whereas the right side carries two light layers of the concealer.

Puffiness and redness under-eye are ‘camouflaged’ hehehehe.

Clinique All About Eyes Concealer Ratings:
Availability: Clinique MY, Sephora MY
Size: 10ml
Price: RM87
Packaging: 2/5
Smell: 2/5
Meets Expectations: 3.5/5
Price: 3/5

On hand: Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in #07 Broadest Berry.

This is so beautiful omg. I love how these lip colour balms from Clinique are so moisturizing yet so pigmented at the same time. I’ve been on the search for bold lippies (I invested quite a lot on matte lipsticks but unfortunately they were excessively drying to my lips *sobs*) and I have to say this Lip Colour Balm really won my heart. In just one swatch, you can get beautiful, bold lips without compromising on its moisture level.

Expect zero-chapped lips with this Lip Colour Balm from Clinique. These are just so beautiful, and its pencil-like tip allows me to line my lips easily! At the moment, there are six shades available in Sephora MY, the Broadest Berry, Curviest Caramel, Chunkiest Chill, Mightlest Maraschino, Heftiest Hibiscus and Plushest Punch. I’m eyeing at the ‘Heftiest Hibiscus’, it might be an absolutely stunning nude-pink shade!

Swatches are as shown in above picture. It's actually quite thin and light in the first swatch. For bolder and intense results, I'd highly recommend to apply three full layers.

With its small and light packaging, I can easily carry the lippie with me all the time! The downside of these Chubby Sticks is that it transfers easily, so frequent touch-ups are necessary. But that’s just something minute for me considering that the Lip Colour Balm is intensely hydrating and bold.

Wore this shade for CNY as it matches most of my outfit hahahaha!

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm Ratings:
Availability: Clinique MY, Sephora MY
Size: 3g
Price: RM70
Packaging: 4/5
Smell: 2/5
Meets Expectations: 4/5
Price: 4/5
